A glance through a narrow crack between the door and jamb
reveals a darkened attic cluttered with detritus, and the walls on
the landing outside are covered with graffiti addressed to the
fictional killer by his nickname Rodya.
"Rodya, we're with you," one person scrawled.
"Don't do it," another wrote in English.
It's like an alarm clock's gone off, and I've just got to get away. I think it was John Lennon who said: "Life is what happens when you're making other plans.", and that's how I feel. Although he also said: "I am the Walrus I am the eggman" so I don't know what to believe.
Rebecca is a student of both English and film at Dalhousie University and King's College in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is spending six months in New Zealand and Australia in 2005, but will ultimately return to Halifax to finish her degree.
She hopes to do her MA in Victorian literature at Oxford University in Oxford, England.
She has not concluded where she will travel for her PhD, but it seems likely that she will spend most of her twenties in England.
She wants to eventually teach Victorian literature at a prestigious post-secondary institution.
Or something.
